Take the screen time challenge
Here’s the challenge: For one week, see how little time you can spend in front of a screen doing stuff like watching TV, videos, or computer games.
Each day write down how many hours and minutes you spent on screen time. Every time you move around instead of vegging in front of a screen, write down what you did instead. You can even challenge someone in your family!

Ideas for physical activity instead of watching TV:
- Earn the Fun and Fit Badge
- Join a softball, soccer, basketball team
- Take lessons: dance, swim, self-defense...
- Find ways to add walking or physical activity to everyday routines
- Whenever possible, take the stairs both up and down
- Walk rather than ride in the car, when you can
- Instead of watching TV, walk or ride your bike
